Optimum Path Systems provides integration of Visual Data Center Enterprise Edition and RF Code’s wire-free environmental monitoring solution. The integrated solution enables data center managers and facility managers to improve visibility and control of the environmental layer within the data center, including real time three dimensional thermal imaging of the facility.

Optimum Path Systems via its flagship product, Visual Data Center, provides centralized data center monitoring and operations management designed to empower today's data center and facilities managers with the ability to improve management and operations within all of their mission critical IT environments. By creating a single holistic view of each facility, Visual Data Center makes it easy to centralize monitoring, manage the environment, automatically report PUE, manage capacity, plan accurately and reduce overall operations costs.

Integration Details

The combined RF Code and Optimum Path Systems solution allows users to see a facility layout with real time power consumption, temperature, humidity and thermal image data, which leads to greater awareness of operating conditions about the environment and specific devices. This awareness enables centralized planning and decision making related to overall power and cooling capacity, performance management and alarm/notification processing for both IT and facility devices in the data center.

Using RF Code’s Zone Manager open API, Visual Data Center is seamlessly integrated allowing it to easily consume sensor data from RF Code’s wire-free sensor tags such as:

Temperature
Humidity
Fluid detection
Door position
Dry Contact

Visual Data Center also monitors and reports on each RF Code sensor tag’s low battery level indicator which enables administrators to know when sensors require a battery replacement.

Visual Data Center can be configured to connect to multiple Zone Managers simultaneously. The connection between Visual Data Center and Zone Manager is made via the HTTP protocol making it WAN and enterprise network friendly.
