The 433 MHz R140 Badge Tag is a battery-powered RF transmitter that can be clipped onto an article of clothing or worn around the neck with a lanyard. Every tag broadcasts its unique ID and a status message at a periodic rate (pre-programmed at time of manufacturing).
R140 Badge Tags are specifically designed for tracking personnel and their interaction with tagged assets. Alternately, when used with an RF Code Reader and portal antenna system, the badge tag can function to track entrance and exits to a particular work site or controlled area.
R140 tags are programmed to operate at a 2-second beacon rate. Tag cases are impact resistant, splash resistant and temperature stable. Read ranges up to 1,000 feet can be obtained with optional antenna configurations. The standard tag operates with a very low duty cycle that translates to long battery life (typically > 3 years at a 2-second beacon rate).
