RF Code Infrastructure and Sensors

Our Complete Line of Dedicated Readers, IR-Powered Locators, Active RFID Tracking Tags, and Wire-free Environmental Sensors

Readers and Locators

Compact, easy-to-mount active RFID readers receive the data generated by our wire-free asset tags and environmental sensors and work in conjunction with our infrared-powered rack and room locators to deliver continuous visibility into asset locations and the conditions that surround them.

M250 Fixed Reader

The M250 is attached to the network via Ethernet/POE and is used to read the signals emitting from RF Code Tags and Sensors. Readers are used in data-centers, industrial applications, hospitals, office areas, or any site that requires persistent visibility of RF Code asset tags and sensors.

A740 Rack Locator

The A740 Rack Locator is installed in IT cabinets to provide cabinet-level location resolution to infrared enabled RF Code asset tags (such as the R174, as well as all RF Code IR-enabled asset tags). Typical use is for tracking cabinet-level asset location in data centers, IT closets, and colocation facilities. Can also be used in other locations such as on shelving when IR requires a discrete and precise application.

A750 Room Locator

The A750 Room Locator is mounted on the ceiling or other surface and powered by 12-24V DC or 24 AC power. Used to differentiate rooms from general RF Zones by emitting infrared (IR) signals that IR equipped asset tags can forward in their signals. Used in hospital rooms, data center hallways and storage rooms, or any indoor application where room level location resolution is needed.

Active RFID Asset Tracking Tags

RF Code's active RFID asset sensors are attached to each IT asset and enable automated IT asset management throughout the asset's entire lifespan, from the point of delivery, through deployment, to asset disposal.

M171 Durable Asset Tag

Medium size tag that is sonically welded into a sealed enclosure designed to be easy to clean and disinfect. This tag is used for tracking assets in semi-rugged conditions where the M175 mounting not appropriate.

M172-IR Durable Asset Tag

This is a medium-size tag that is sonically welded into a sealed enclosure designed to be easy to clean and disinfect. It features an IR sensor for room level location resolution when used with the A750 Room Locator. This tag is commonly used in hospitals or healthcare settings to track beds, crash carts, nurse's stations, and other equipment that moves between rooms and floors of a health care facility.

M174-IR Asset Tag

This small asset tracking tag with infrared sensors is designed to be used indoors and works in conjunction with A750 and A740 locators for room and rack level location resolution. This tag is affixed to various mounting tabs and then attached to data center assets such as servers, network switches, and other rack or floor standing assets in a data center or distributed environment.

M175 Ruggedized Industrial Asset Tag

This is a larger tag that is banded to assets using a single-use metal clip. It can be used in hostile environments and is resistant to weather, pesticides, salt, and other corrosives that would destroy other RFCode tags. This tag is used extensively in agriculture, industrial rentals, general logistics, and the energy sector, but may also be used in data centers to track pallets, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.

Wire-Free Sensors

RF Code’s wire-free, easy to deploy environmental sensors provide the visibility and granularity you need to fine-tune the data center environment.

R120 Door Sensor

Sensor that monitors whether a door is open or closed. Can be used on any door that has a suitable surface for mounting. Common uses include IT closet doors, IT cabinet doors, and colocation cage doors.

R130 Dry Contact Sensor

Sensor that monitors dry contact or closed-loop monitoring circuit. Typically used for monitoring UPS and other electrical systems with dry contact terminals. May also be used as a remotely wired door sensor.

R135 Fluid Detector

A film-based sensor that reports when water or water-based fluids come in contact. Typically deployed under raised floors to detect condensation of coolant leaks, or used near overhead CRAC in non-raised floor data centers. Also has other industrial applications.

R151 Tethered Temperature Sensor

A sensor tag with a remote temperature sensor connected by a small cable, allowing users to separate the point at which the temperature reading is sampled from where the sensor electronics and RF transmitter are located. Common applications include gathering temperature readings under an RF shielded raised floor or within aluminized ductwork which acts as a barrier for RF transmission, or when monitoring industrial machinery where the sensor is located within shielded components such as commercial freezers.

R156 Temperature & Humidity Sensor

A surface-mounted temperature/humidity sensor design with excellent battery life, the R156 Temperature & Humidity Sensor is placed at the precise location at which a temperature reading is needed. Typically this is on racks and cabinet doors in a data center, but the sensor can be used to gather temperature and humidity data anywhere within range of an RF Code fixed reader

R160 Differential Air Pressure Sensor

This sensor takes two pressure readings from inlets and reports the difference between the two readings in PSI/kPa. This sensor is typically used to measure the pressure difference between the plenum of a raised floor data center and the above the floor where the cabinets are mounted.

R170 RPDU Tag

Family of tags that interface with select Rack Power Distribution Units (RPDUs) produced by Server Technology and APC. The tag uses a serial connection to interface with the RPDU.

R171 AC Voltage Sensor (6-11mm OD)

Sensor that detects presence of AC voltage in a power cable 6-11mm in diameter. Typically used to monitor 110-240V circuits that are in cables rated to 30 amps. This could be power cables that feed server and switch power supplies in the datacenter. Industrial or commercial applications include monitoring the power cables of refrigerators, lights, or the monitoring of a circuit past a contact switch for usage monitoring.

R173 AC Voltage Sensor (12-28mm OD)

Sensor that detects the presence of AC voltage in a power cable 11-28mm in diameter. Typically used in the data center to non-invasively monitor the power feeds for RPDUs or PDU feeds. Other applications include large industrial machinery.

R175 RPDU Tag

Family of tags that interface with select Rack Power Distribution Units (RPDUs) produced by Chatsworth International and Vertiv/Geist. The tag utilizes the Ethernet port of the RPDU as its communications interface.

R180 4-20mA Sensor

This tag takes the input of a 4-20mA sensor and supplies the value in its beacons. Sensors from other manufactures can be used in conjunction with the R180. This allows any third part sensor, HVAC, or industrial machinery with a 4-20mA sensor output to be monitored using the RF Code solution.

R185 0-5V Sensor

This tag takes the input of a 0-5V sensor and supplies the value in its beacons. Sensors from other manufactures can be used in conjunction with the R185. This allows any third part sensor, HVAC, or industrial machinery with a 0-5V sensor output to be monitored using the RF Code solution.
