RF Code is honored for excellence in innovation with Sentry, the latest edge monitoring solution for remote locations

AUSTIN, TX—May 25, 2022—RF Code, a pioneer of automated, real-time physical asset lifecycle management and environmental monitoring solutions for data centers, today announced that the company’s newest edge solution Sentry has been recognized with a 2022 IoT Evolution Asset Tracking Award from IoT Evolution magazine, the leading publication covering the Internet of Things (IoT) industry. The award honors excellence in innovation utilizing IoT technologies to automate the asset tracking functions to increase efficiencies, reduce theft, or optimize utilization of the asset.

Sentry is RF Code’s first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) innovation designed for ever-changing distributed IT environments. The solution provides IT and facility professionals with critical, real-time situational awareness while also empowering frictionless decision-making. Sentry continuously provides contextual environmental data making it easier to protect critical IT assets in unmanned, geographically dispersed, and unsecured compute spaces.

“The IoT Evolution Asset Tracking award is further validation of how our innovative approach to remote IT monitoring is addressing real-time and accurate line of sight challenges that IT professionals face when trying to protect critical infrastructure housed in non-secure, distributed locations,” said Dale Quayle, CEO, RF Code. “We developed Sentry as a way to meet the needs of a broader, underserved edge market with a simple, scalable, and affordable real-time IT asset and environmental monitoring solution.”

Sentry’s next-generation monitoring features include built-in motion detection, thermal imaging, temperature, humidity, and infrared, among other advanced sensors all in one hand-size console. Contextual data is dynamically captured from each distributed location and visualized via dashboards in Sentry’s agile web app.

“It is my pleasure to recognize RF Code with an IoT Evolution Asset Tracking Award for its continued innovation,” said Carl Ford, CEO & Community Developer for IoT Evolution. “As a leader in this rapidly evolving industry, I look forward to seeing RF Code’s future successes.”

Sentry is easy to install and can be deployed in 20 minutes—all without the need for an on-site IT team. Sentry’s SaaS model makes it more affordable for organizations to monitor several IT locations at scale.
